Corrections Policy

Last updated:

We are committed to accuracy. When errors occur — and they will — we correct them promptly and transparently. This policy explains how we handle corrections, what qualifies as a correctable error, and how to report one.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

YesNoWheelApp publishes educational content about decision-making psychology, interactive tools, and practical decision guides. We take accuracy seriously because our readers rely on the information we provide to understand how decisions work and how to make better ones.

No publication is error-free. Our commitment is not to perfection but to honest, prompt correction when mistakes are found.

What We Correct

We issue corrections for the following types of errors:

  • Factual errors: Incorrect statistics, misattributed research, wrong dates, or inaccurate descriptions of how tools or concepts work.
  • Misleading statements: Claims that are technically true but create a false impression of reality.
  • Outdated information: Information that was accurate when published but is no longer current and could mislead readers.
  • Broken or missing citations: References that link to incorrect sources or no longer exist.

We do not issue formal corrections for:

  • Stylistic rewrites that do not change the meaning of content
  • Adding new information to an existing article (we update the modification date instead)
  • Subjective opinions or interpretations where reasonable people can disagree

How We Handle Corrections

When an error is confirmed, we take the following steps:

  1. Correct the error immediately. We fix the factual error in the article as soon as it is verified.
  2. Update the modification date. We update the "Last Updated" date on the corrected article so readers know the content has changed.
  3. Add a correction note for significant errors. If the error was substantive — one that could have genuinely misled readers — we add a visible correction note at the top of the article explaining what was wrong and what was corrected.
  4. Acknowledge the reporter. If you reported the error, we will thank you when we respond (unless you prefer anonymity).

Timeline

We aim to investigate all reported errors within 24 hours of receiving a report. If the error is confirmed, the correction is applied within 48 hours. Complex corrections — where we need to re-research a topic before updating — may take up to 5 business days.

We will respond to your correction report to let you know what we found and what action we took.

How to Report an Error

If you believe you have found a factual error in any content on YesNoWheelApp, please contact us via our Contact page.

To help us investigate quickly, please include:

  • The URL of the page containing the error
  • A description of the error you found
  • What you believe the correct information is, and (if available) a source for that information

We review every report. Even if we disagree with your assessment, we will explain our reasoning in our response.
